Be clear on what your purpose for being in business is. Most people will answer this question with ‘to get more time and make heaps of money!’ and my response to this is ‘how’s that working out for you?’

Once your clear on the purpose of your business, you can begin to set your mission & goals. Your purpose and mission should be a long-term game, let’s start with 10 years. What do you want to achieve in your business 10 years from now and what is it going to take to get there? See most people who start out in business will overestimate what they can do in 12 months and underestimate what they can do in 10 years.

To achieve this, you need to crystal clear on your purpose and mission, otherwise 10 years will fly past and all your doing is achieving the same turnover year by year. That’s not a business, all you’ve done in that situation is buy yourself a job.
