Plumbing training
Plumbing registration support for the next licence step.
For registered plumbers who want to move towards licencing with the right evidence, training and assessment preparation.
Pathway
Licencing is about the next level of responsibility.
Plumbing licencing is for plumbers who want to supervise, sign Statements of Compliance and operate with a broader licence outcome. The licence class sets what needs to be prepared.
Licence class guidance
Support can relate to drainage, gas fitting, roofing stormwater, sanitary and water supply licence classes.
Experience check
Start with current registration status, experience and the licence outcome being pursued.
Certificate IV and RPL
Where Certificate IV is required, the next step may include RPL support through approved RTOs.
Exam and assessment preparation
The process can include guidance around BPC assessment or exam requirements where they apply.
Before you enquire
Have the right details ready.
The team can give a better answer when they know your current role, experience and the licence or registration you are trying to get.
- 1 Your current plumbing registration status
- 2 Years of experience and the work classes you have performed
- 3 Certificate IV status or any prior training evidence
- 4 The licence class or business outcome you are working towards
Support model
Know what is missing before you start.
Applicants may need at least two years as a registered plumber and a Certificate IV in Plumbing. Depending on experience, the BPC may also require an exam. Where Certificate IV is missing, RPL may be available through approved RTOs.
What to expect
The goal is to understand the licence class, the missing evidence and the next step before time is wasted on the wrong option.
